Pie Bake-Off – November 7
The Pie Bake-Off is open to all bakers. There will be two categories for judging: fruit and non-fruit pies, as well as a new youth category has been added this year. Pies will be assessed based on appearance, crust,  lling and overall  avor and taste. There is a $30 entry fee and the event will be limited to 25 adult (16+) and 25 youth (up to age 15 at time of contest) contestants. Click to see info on page 30.

Operation Christmas Child – Nov. 16-23
1) Pick up an empty shoebox from Ridgeline Community Church at 555 Heritage Avenue in Castle Rock, Operation Christmas Child. 2) Pack it with school supplies, hygiene items and fun toys, such as dolls or soccer balls. 3) Bring the gift- lled shoeboxes back during National Collection Week November 16 – 23. You can learn how to pack a shoebox, view gift suggestions and get your Follow Your Box label and other details on page 14.
