Castle Rock Starlighting – November 21
Due to COVID-19, Starlighting will look different this year. The 2020 Castle Rock Starlighting will be live- streamed Sat., November 21 from 2pm to 6pm. We will be continuing the tradition of lighting the Star and we have plans for a reworks display, however, we are encouraging smaller group gatherings, as we unfortunately are unable to hold our traditional downtown Castle Rock festival. Instead we will be hosting three viewing locations and live streaming the ceremony at: Castle Rock Adventist Hospital Briscoe/Alexander Parking Lots, PS Miller Park Amphitheater, and Douglas County Fairgrounds Outdoor Arena. The Castle Rock “Lighting of the Star” has been a community event shared by residents dating back to 1936. Read the History of the Castle Rock Star on page 12. The same spirit of volunteerism, generosity and love of tradition exists today as Castle Rock businesses and residents prepare to celebrate Starlighting. Stay up-to-date at: castlerockstarlighting.com. See ad on page 11.

Please consider organizing a food and toiletry drive in your neighborhood, work, etc. Small or large donations are welcome! You can make a huge difference in the lives of our neighbors in need.
All toiletries and food collected stays within our com- munity! Please register your food drive here.
