Top 6 What to Avoid Tips
• Avoidbaggyorlooseclothing-thebaggyandlooseclothing will make you look wider in photos and hide your gure and actually make you look larger than you are
• Don’t tan or start tanning the week of your session, you will look orange in the photos
• Avoid competing patterns between everyone in the photo, they will ruin the photo – mix solids with 1-2 patterns max • Be aware of sleeveless shirts and shorts, they can be un-
attering
• Avoid logos and bold patterns
• Don’t get a NEW hair style or color less than a week before
your shoot! (In case you don’t like the results!)
• Don’t forget your nails! Chipped or distracting nail polish
can ruin a nice photo

What To Wear
• Solid colors photograph the best, especially dark blues, grays, black and pale pastels
• Wearing darker colors will help bring the focus and attention to your face
• You can add a pop of color in a hair bow, scarf, jewelry... the bright color will enhance the photo
• Pay attention to necklines, sleeve length and texture and have fun with it and mix it up! It’s all about the details!
• Don’t forget the shoes!
• Wear clothes that atter your body type - not too baggy!
Plan Your Accessories
• Inadditiontoyournormalaccessories,youmightconsider wearing a unique piece of jewelry or heirloom
• Try to choose items that you love, but won’t take away from what you are wearing, rather compliment it
