So, we’ve just nished our Happy New Year “divorce season” and now we’ve entered the Spring Fever divorce....
With spring, comes new energy, a desire for move- ment – possibly romance- and life after winter. Wear less, drink more, play more, want more...
The problem I’m nding is that too many people calling today, are so done and over “it” – even though de ning “it” is a HUGE issue and not understood by either spouse.
During the next month when you think you’re ready to call “it” over and come visit us at DivorceInColorado.
Please try these 7 things rst:
1 Plan a date night EVERY WEEK.
2 Laugh more.
3 Do “your thing” separately at least 1x/week.
4 Watch your 3 most favorite early 90s movies i.e. Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, etc. TOGETHER one weekend – back-to-back.
5 Say “yes” to everything all day long once a week for a month. (This is a secret only you know, so others only experience your joy without taking advantage of your secret “ok day.”)
6 Go screen-free every night for 2 hours. (I cannot tell you how many better things there are to do.)
7 Call your parents more. Boys and girls – we all have different relationships with our parents, but as adults we appreciate far more what they expe- rienced.
Know that there is a reason you chose, and were chosen by your spouse. There is counseling, life changes, and communication that may not x ev- erything, but that are certainly worth trying before DivorceInColorado.
