Fangtastic Festival – October 28
We are ready for some family fun this fall at the Fangtastic Festival October 28th at Festival Park. Come in costume and enjoy pumpkin picking and booth-to-booth trick-or -treating. See more on ad, page 7.
Ghostly & Tragic Tales Tours - throughout October
Join the Castle Rock Historical Society for a walking tour of Castle Rock featuring tales of ghostly and tragic events in Castle Rock’s history. Come hear stories of the Cantril School, The Old Stone Church, The B&B Café, Hangman’ s Gulch and more. Tours will be 7:00–8:00pm Wednesday & Thursdays in October – Oct. 5th & 6th, 12th & 13th, 19th & 20th and 26th & 27th. They’ll begin and end at the Castle Rock Museum. Please dress for the weather. The tours are free, and donations are encouraged. Reservations are required, at 303-814-3164 or museum@castlerockh- istoricalsociety.org. See ad on page 3.
Castle Rock Craft Show – November 5

Castle Rock Starlighting – November 19 Presented by the Castle Rock Chamber, the Castle Rock “Lighting of the Star” has been a community event shared by residents dating back to 1936. This year’s celebration will again be in the historic Wilcox Square from 2–7pm and will include hot chocolate, non pro t booths, strolling entertainers, live entertainment and of course Santa will be present for photos and visits. The Starlighting ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm and the Lighting of the Star will be at approximately 5:30 pm. See ad, page 13.
Turkey Rock Trot Family Run – November 24 Come out and join Castle Rock’s largest attended running race, indoor expo, and Thanksgiving morning tradition – the 18th Annual Turkey ROCK Trot 5K Family Fun Run/Walk/Stroll in Castle Rock. Whether you are a serious runner or leisurely walker, bring the whole family and start a new tradition. You are CHANGING LIVES when you register for the Turkey ROCK Trot. The Help & Hope Center provides assistance to our neighbors in Douglas and Elbert counties who are in serious economic need, at risk of homelessness, or in a similar crisis.
