Sept. 30 ~ Join The American Cancer Society and the Southeast Communities (in Parker)
in the  ght against Cancer at the Relay for Life
The Relay For Life movement unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to  nish the  ght once and for all. Relay For Life events are community gatherings where teams and individuals meet at a school, park, or fairground and take turns walking laps on a track, celebrating and participate in games. Teams participate in fundraising in the months leading up to the event.
Relay For Life is the signature fundraising event of The American Cancer Society, raising nearly $400 million annually! Funds raised bene t groundbreaking cancer research, as well as local patient services. Some patient services we are able to provide include driving patients to treatments, housing patients who require travel for treatment, providing wigs, classes to teach patients about their changing appearance, and much more!
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of South East Communities 15th annual event will take place on September 30, at O’Brien Park, downtown Parker. The Southeast Communities Relay includes the communities of Aurora, Castle Rock, Centennial, Elizabeth, Fox eld and Parker. The opening ceremony will begin at 10am with the traditional survivor lap directly following. We invite all survivors and caregivers to
join us for a celebratory survivor lunch reception that afternoon. Lots of walking, games, and fun will carry us through
the day and the luminaria and closing ceremony at 9-10pm will conclude the event reminding us why we Relay!
We invite you to join the movement through forming a Team, company sponsorship, or volunteering. Signing up is Easy! Follow these steps:

Help get a Seizure-Response Dog
for Alli
This will change the life of a wonderful teenage girl who has seizures. Seizure response dogs (SRD) are a special type of service dog, speci cally trained to help someone
who has epilepsy or a seizure disorder. The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation is currently
Alli fundraising to be able to Castle Rock teen-ager, provide a grant to Alli. Having a
living with Seiures please:
SRD will give Alli more private time and independence, which all teenagers need. For Alli’s parents, it will be the comfort of knowing there is a backup system for when they are not with their daughter.
