Castle Rock Craft Show – November 6
The 29th Annual Castle Rock Craft Show Extraordinaire is Sat., November 6 from 9am–4pm at the Douglas County Events Center. This free show is the largest craft event in Douglas county and features vendors selling unique and handmade items; plus door prizes, silent auction, quilt raf e, wreath auction, concessions, and much more. Veteran’s Day Tribute – November 6
TheDouglasCountyVeteransServiceOf ceinconjunction with the Douglas County Veterans Monument Foundation will conduct a Veterans Day Tribute on Sat., Nov. 6, beginning at 11 a.m. at the DC Veterans Monument Pla- za located at the corner of Wilcox and Fourth Streets in downtown Castle Rock. The program will feature a special remembrance and will honor all veterans – past and present.
It’s that festive time of year where families gather around to enjoy good company, hearty food, and most importantly, pie! Do you have what it takes to rise to the occasion? Don’t be afraid to take whisks in the Town’s pie baking competition. The pie bake-off is open to all bakers. There will be two categories for judging: fruit and non-fruit pies, as well as a youth category. Pies will be assessed based on appearance, crust,  lling, and overall  avor and taste. Don’t have baking skills? No worries! Come to the competition free of charge and try the pies by the slice. See ad on page 23.
