the ownership of the Rock and what it took to research the owners. Local historian Ron Claussen will discuss his work on tracking the ownership of the Rock. This program is to share the resources available to you to do your own research. Some are simple and quick and some a little more tedious, but they are all available to you to explore the history of your family or whatever. Refreshments will be served at 6:45pm with the presentation beginning at 7pm at the Philip S. Miller Library 100 S. Wilcox St. Castle Rock. Castle Rock Starlighting – November 20 Presented by the Castle Rock Chamber, the Castle Rock “Lighting of the Star” has been a community event shared by residents dating back to 1936. This year’s celebration will again be in the historic Wilcox Square from 2–6pm and will include hot chocolate, non pro t booths, strolling entertainers, live entertainment and of course Santa will be present for photos and visits. The Starlighting ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm and the Lighting of the Star will be at approximately 5:30pm. See ad, page 4.
