Do You Need To Get Rid Of Some Stu ?
Everyone has a little stuff lying around the house. OK, some of us may have more than
a little. Regardless of how much stuff we have, we can all bene t from decluttering our
homes. Decluttering makes you more ef cient and keeps you organized. More than
that, clutter has psychological in uences; it sends a signal to your brain that work is not
 nished. You may be surprised how much better you feel after you eliminate unnecessary
stuff from your life. You might consider advertising on Craigslist or Nextdoor, hiring a
junk hauler, or contacting a charitable organization. Below is a list of charitable organizations, upcoming recycling events, vendors that provide haul away/recycling services, and organizations providing assistance in the Castle Rock community.
Aging Resources of Douglas County: A free assistance and referral program for quali ed seniors needing help with light maintenance and chores – donations are accepted. Give them a call at 303-814-4300, or visit them on the web at agingresourcesdougco.org

E-Waste Recycling Event: Many electronics can and should be recycled. Recycle your old electronics and shred documents for free at this event! Bring your household electronics, including televisions, plus three  le boxes or kitchen-sized trash bags per person for paper shredding.
Free Community Recycling Event – Saturday, September 21, from 9a.m. to 1p.m., Echo Park Stadium – 11901 Newlin Gulch Rd., Parker First Call: A free information and referral line in Douglas County. First Call links people with quality services in the community. Give them a
call at 303-660-7519.
Household Chemical Roundup Recycling Event: $25 per vehicle & proof of residency required. Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 9a.m. to

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Recycling Event: Household hazardous wastes are products that contain ingredients that are toxic,  ammable, corrosive or reactive. Some examples include pool chemicals, antifreeze, batteries, solvents, pesticides,  uorescent lights,  re extinguishers, propane tanks, oil-based paint and tires. These products should not be placed in the trash or poured down the drain, storm sewers or on the ground. Proper disposal at the Roundup Event helps prevent accidental poisonings and  re hazards in your home.

Yard Waste: Take your yard waste, including tree limbs, shrubs and brush, to the FREE Castle Rock Slash/Mulch Site – 1400 Caprice Dr., Castle Rock – Open Saturdays until 5p.m. through October 29, 2019.
