Today we are partnering with Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) and UNDP to develop a
handbook on parliamentary oversight of resources for development in the context of monitoring
the national implementation of the SDGs, to assist parliamentarians in this new task and share
innovative practices. This new tool will allow us, as parliamentarians, to explore opportunities
to improve our oversight function and to better engage with youth and other marginalized
groups as we establish and monitor progress towards our national development priorities.

Let me conclude my speech by quoting John Lenon word; A dream you dream alone is only a
dream. A dream you dream together is reality. GOPAC is dreaming with the youth to shape the
world better without corruption. And if more parliamentarians have the same dream just like
we have, the fight against corruption will be even stronger.
