Obituary


  Carl Gourgue, was born to Rose Yolande Cadet & Maurice Gourgue on February 10, 1957 in
  Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He was the youngest of five children, Marie Claude, Ronnie
  (deceased) & Jacques Gourgue. The Gourgue family was hard working and prominent in
  Port-au-Prince. The family instilled in Carl, values that led him to be focused and driven.
  Carl attended primary school at Jean Marie Guilloux, Port-au-Prince, Haiti and secondary
  at Collège Canado-Haïtien. At the age of 16, he immigrated to Brooklyn, New York where
  he graduated from John Jay High School and continued his studies at Brooklyn College and
  Aviation Academy.

  As Carl was pursuing his career, he courted and married his childhood sweetheart Marie
  Maude St. Vil. Together they formed a beautiful family with 2 children, Bernard and
  Rachel.  For over 40 years, Carl was a loving husband, friend and backbone to his wife.  To
  his children and grandson, he was disciplined, dedicated and nurturing. To his sister and
  brother, he was resilient and a confidant. To his family, he was a mentor and role model
  with a generous heart. To his friends and colleagues, he was reliable, selfless and always
  willing to help.

  Carl worked hard to provide for his family. For many years he worked in the
  Transportation Industry and eventually discovered his passion for Technology. For 24
  years, he worked as an IT Administrator for Bermuda Limousine International., a Luxury
  Limousine Company.

  The legacy Carl leaves is hard work pays off and to never give up. He was a leader that
  impacted all who knew him.
