The Cyclone athletics program had a lights out 21 -22 year.
Carrollton Athletics participates in 11 sports with 27 teams.
In the fall, cross country, swimming and diving, volleyball, golf, and sailing had successful seasons.
The Varsity Cross Country team participated in the District Championship and came out as champions. Andrea Montaner '24 was an Individual Champion and Arianna Garcia '26 received Runner-Up. The team qualified for Regionals and came out champions as well. Varsity Cross Country ended their season placing sixth at States. The Junior High Cross Country team went to the SFMSC Championship and won first place. They traveled to the Orange Bowl Championship and came out
on top. The team ended their season, placing fifth at the FLYRA State Championships.
The Varsity Swimming & Diving team competed in many meets earning Runner-Up in Districts and placing tenth at Regionals. Nicolette Xydas '25 placed 25th for diving at the State Meet and Isabelle Wilson '25 finished tenth in the 5 0 0 freestyle at the State Meet. The 4 0 0 freestyle relay team of Isabelle Wilson '25, Mila Fanjul '25, Katia Alonso '23 and Alexandra De Angulo '23 finished 14th at the State Meet. The Junior Fligh Swimming
& Diving team placed fourth at the SFMSC Championship.
The Varsity Volleyball team went undefeated at the Florida Christian Pre Season Tournament, beating Palmer and Florida Christian. They also were District quarterfinalists. The Junior Varsity Volleyball team had a record of seventeen wins and five losses, also winning Dig Pink.
The Junior High Volleyball A team competed in the Gold Bracket of the Florida Christian Invitational. The Junior High Volleyball B team had an undefeated season in conference play and also competed in the Gold Bracket o f the Florida Christian Invitational.
The Varsity G o lf team placed 3rd at Districts and advanced to the Regional Tournament. The Junior High G o lf team had an incredible year, ending their season as SFMSC Champions.
Winter season sports are soccer and basketball.
The Varsity Soccer team ended their season as District Semifinalists. Beatrice Stone '22, who played a major role in the success of the team, will be continuing her athletic and academic career at Emory University. The Junior High Soccer team competed in the SFMSC Championship Tournament.
The Varsity Basketball team was District Semifinalists. The Junior High Basketball team was SFMSC Semifinalists.
In the Spring, five sports are played, track 6- field, softball, tennis, and beach volleyball.
The Varsity Track & Field team finished third at Districts and 19th at Regionals. Arianna Garcia '26 finished third in 300m hurdles at Regionals beating her own school record and qualilying for the State Meet. The Junior High Track & Field team placed first at the Warrior MS Invitational, the PTS Falcon MS Invitational, and the RE Middle School Meet. They also traveled to the SFMSC Championship and won first place.
For the first time, the Varsity Beach Volleyball team was approved by the FHSAA. The Junior High Beach Volleyball team won second place at the SFMSC Championship. Maria Fernanda Bracamontes '27 & Cristina Cuervo '27 finished Ist in the AI bracket.
The Varsity Softball team had a season record o f seven wins, four losses, and one tie. They were District Semifinalists. The Junior High Softball team placed third at the SFMSC Championship.
The Varsity Tennis team had a big win at the Senior Game against Westminster Christian at home. The Junior High Tennis team finished fourth at the SFMSC Championship. Sharella Lee '26 & Daniela Hernandez '27 were Runner-Up in Seed # I o f the giHs doubles bracket.
