Last summer, Carroll­
ton sent two students,
Margarita Taboas and
Marilen Loyola, accompa­
nied by Sr. Nordmeyer
and Sr. Blaeser, to Hous­
ton, Texas, to the first
annual "Houston Pro­
ject.” The project took
place from June 25 to
July 9 and the girls along
with thirteen other stu­
dents from eight Sacred
Heart schools around the
country, worked in uni­
son in services such as
comforting the elderly,
tutoring children and
painting houses.
