Q : How big a role did the Five Goals play in your life during your time at Carrollton?

C AM : While I was at Carrollton the Five Goals were at the forefront o f the philosophy o f
the school and everything we learned. The ideals o f St. Madeleine Sophie Baratand St.
lo s e Philippine Duchesne were, and continue to be the basis o f a Carrollton education.

                 Q : Wa& community service a part o f your experience at Carrollton?

CAM : There was a large emphasis on community service during my High School years
here at CarroJIton. The Five Goals were a vital part o f the role that we played in the
community, and in the way we helped other people. We would usually go to several
different elementary schools in the area to play with and take care o f the children there.
These experiences made me more aware o f my surroundings and the power one has to
                 help either people:.

Q : Dfd' youibave. Conge when you were in school?

CAM : Yes, Conge was always very memorable. I remember the seniors would come
on the day o f Conge and pick up the girls in each class who were in their group. We
would spend the entire day with the girls in our groups and it was an incredible bonding
experience. I recognize people today from Carrollton because o f events and traditions

Q : Which Sacred Heart traditions did you enjoy the most while you were in school?

C AM : Well, I loved Coeur de Jesus and the unity it symbolized when we sang the song
as a community. I also loved traditions like "Gouter” which is specific to Carrollton and
other Sacred Heart Schools. It is nice to be a part o f such a special network o f schools.

                 Q :K > w has your-'Garrollto&i experience as a whole affected your life?

•CAM: Carrollton has always' been so much a part o f my life. The sisterhood you have
:with 'fine other girls in yourxlass was the most important thing to me while I was in school.
Also, now looking back, I realize the importance o f the high caliber education provided at
Carrolltonlandi the values that are instilled in the students. During my search for a school
for my twoj, sons, I realized that no other school compares to Carrollton.
