Cross Country

The Cross Country team won their first State Championship in. school
history. In a tig h t race between the top three schools where 31 points
separated the three programs, the Cyclones managed a team score
o f 103 to finish ahead. Carrollton's scoring runners a ll finished in the
top 5 0 w ith three top 2 0 finishes and a top 10 finish. Maria Baleazar
finished in sixth place overall w ith a tim e o f 19:31.36, while Kaiiey
G onzalez finished in 14th place with a time o f 19:48.71, and Maria
M adiedo came in 18th place with a tim e o f2 0 :02 .3 8 , rounding out
their top 2 0 finishes. The remaining tw o scoring runners placed 35th,
Daniels Cosio with a tim e o f2 0 :34 .4 2 , and45th, N icole Kolisch
w ith a tim e o f20:53.57. In addition to those impressive finishes, the
entire team finished in the to p 3 6 percentile having Andrea Zumpano
and G abriels Gonzalez finish 6 2 n d and 6 3 rd respectively o u t o f 176
runners.
