We, the G raduating C la ss o f 1981, w ant to take
this opportunity to express our gratitude to Carrollton
Sch ool, C on vent o f the S a cre d Heart. A n d yet, how
ca n we express in w ords the endow m ent we have S I I
b een given a s a g ro u p and, even m ore definitely, as
individuals? W hether our tim e here h as been
extensive or brief, we believe that we have g a in e d an
edu cation far m ore valuable than sheer sch o lastic
achievem ent. W e feel that we have exp erien ced the
transition betw een being carefree yo u n g girls to
being responsible yo u n g w om en ca p a b le o f u
confronting the w orld b e yo n d Carrollton.
Even though we p h ysica lly p a rt a t the en d o f the
year, a n d e a ch p erson will g o h er own way, we shall
rem ain lin ked b y the m em ories o f our years a t I I
Carrollton. A s those m em ories continue to linger in u
our m inds a n d hearts, a b o n d to one an oth er will b e
forg ed am on g us. N o m atter how g re a t o r how sm all
our individual future su cce sse s m ay be, we know
that the foundations for those accom plish m en ts were
la id during these yea rs together a t Carrollton. F o r
these foundations a n d m em ories we are grateful. We
thank y o u who have taught us a n d w ho have given
us Carrollton.
