Each year, every senior is
paired with a Carrollton
alumna who is to become
that senior's mentor. The
pair meets at the Mentor
Breakfast where they get
to know each other for the
first time. After this, they
get together for Shadow
Day, when each senior
accompanies her "alum
chum " to work or just for
an outing so that the senior
can learn more about her
alumna's daily life. The
purpose of this tradition
is to build community,
in accordance with the
Sacred Heart Goals,
and to establish life-long
friendships. As the seniors
enter a new and exciting
time in their lives, it is
comforting for them to
know that they will always
have a connection with
someone who has been
down a very similar path
and has succeeded.
