The Science Fair and National Junior H onors
Society at the Junior High both encourage
academic achievement. The Junior High
Science Fair took place from November 29
to December 1, 2006. Seventh and Eighth
S o u t o e F a i r Graders participated in this event, which was

a huge success! Parents and students from other
grades came to see the great projects which were
displayed in M eii’s Hall. All of the students
worked very hard on their projects and the judges
had a hard time deciding the winners. The six
winners for First, Second, and Third place were
further recognized at the Dade County Science
Fair where they received Excellent and Superior
awards.

The National Junior Honors Society induction
ceremony on February 23, 2007 was a^° a
special time to honor academic excellence. This
beautiful ceremony was attended by parents
of seventh and eighth grade new members and
