When looking back at the
Junior High, one becomes aware
of the many changes Carrollton
has undergone. For example, the
seventh and eighth graders are
now free of the hassle of having to
share the Barat Building with the
high school, and have more space
to shine in their new coral man
sion.
Besides taking their required
courses in school, the Junior High
students are also involved in
many other activities. These
include Sea Camp for the seventh
graders, the Junior High dance,
eighth grade beach day, their
play, “The Little Mermaid”, and
the most important of all the
eighth grade graduation into the
high school.
The Junior High is a time to
grow and explore oneself through
the various activities in junior
high students participate in, they
are able to learn important
lessons in life, which they will
implement into their forming per
sonalities.
Although there have been some
changes for the junior high stu
dents within the past six years,
the tradition still remains, teach
ing the girls to grow academically,
spiritually, morally, and socially.
The Junior High experience will
prepare the students for the chal
lenges they will face in the high
school.
As we near the new millennium.
Junior High students still share
the sense of unity felt in the early
1990’s.
