Student Council

Student Council consists of four
officers and six homeroom representa­
tives. Student Council is responsible
for planning and organizing the school
dances, Spirit Week, the Mother-
Daughter Luncheon, the China walk-a-
thon, several holiday festivities for the
Montessori students, and fundraisers
throughout the year.

Honor Society

Membership in the NJHS is both an
honor and a responsibility. Students
who meet the scholastic requirements
are then evaluated by the faculty on
the basis of leadership, service,
Kristine Adler, Cristina Alfonso, Carolina Armas, Cristina Astigarraga, Brittany Bahamon,
character, and citizenship. This year, Tania Del Rivero, Cynthia Donna, Claudia Leon, Martha Loria, Elyse MacNamara, Olga
Megrabian, Natalie Meruelo, Sarah Moody, Victoria Nazir, Camila Osorno, Ariane Rangel,
the club has participated in activities Chantal Reina Ortiz, Sarah Testerman, Elizabeth Turner, Sacha Van Tuyn, Christine
Velazquez, Traci Walder, Shantelle Williams, Bibi Wilson
such as: a bake sale for China Walk, a
toy drive for LaBelle Glades Migrant
Workers, and prepared thirty-six Easter
baskets for the Children’s Cancer
Center in Jackson Memorial Hospital.
