Self-soothing
Can you get good at the skill
of self-soothing in ways that
work for people around you?
1. Write some different ideas down on paper (look at the self-soothing
box below to help) that will work for people around you.
2. Make your own soothing box full of
the ideas you have had that you think
will help you to soothe.
3. Practise using your soothing box.
4. Time how much more quickly you can self-soothe and feel good – but
remember too that all feelings are ok if we show them in ways that feel
ok for the people around us.
