5. It is a whole school approach and definitely not reserved for children
who present with inconvenient or concerning behaviours. The approach is
a whole school (or whole family/organisation) approach – for everyone –
whatever age. It provides a shared language so that everyone is
empowered to understand themselves and each other and have a
language to communicate needs positively.
6. The programme combines neuroscience, psychology,
coaching and education.
7. There are four main elements of the approach – Building the
Foundations, Responding in the Moment, Follow-Up for Progress and
Coaching for Change.
8. Each element of the programme needs a different skill which we
can compare to a fitness instructor, paramedic, surgeon and consultant
doctor.
