     The key messages: Session 5
    1. Support your child in knowing their needs and ‘Prepping4Best’ as often as
possible – don’t leave it to chance.
    2. Help your child build better ‘emotional granulation’ – this starts with knowing
words for small unpleasant and pleasant feelings at different energy levels.
Help them have the skill to look at an event with perspective – is this a big
deal? What level of emotion would match this issue?
    3. Help your child understand different types of stress – growth stress, tolerable
              stress and toxic stress.
    4. Use ‘Growth Zones’ to help your child explore what is already in their comfort
zone and what feels like growth or panic.
    5. Then help your child become more skilled at tolerating the unpleasant feeling
              of growth stress.
    6. Listen, question and be compassionate!
