Some people find it easy to let their

                              mind wander, imagine and create

Some people find it really hard to focus

                                                                                    on one thing.

It is as if there is no ‘net on their brain

window’; lots of different ideas and

thoughts (not all important for what

                                                                                    they doing) get let inside!

Their brain can shift quickly away from what they are meant to be

thinking about to something completely different. Before they

know it, they have switched from maths to their dream holiday!

People with this sort of attention are often great at imagining and

creating new and original ways of doing things. Inventors, artists

and musicians often have attention like this.

Once they have thought of a new idea which captures their

interest, they may then find it easy to focus for a long time to get

it finished. This is sometimes called hyperfocus.
