needs-based, supporting approaches

▪ These two key reports have called for a better focus on children feeling a sense of belonging,
a whole school approach to inclusion and a shift from punitive to supportive, needs-based
approaches. Are the tides turning away from the behaviourism so ubiquitously used in UK
schools?
