The Building of the Brain
The human brain develops in a sort of ‘back to front’ way.
The last part of our
brain to develop is
the area at the
front of the brain;
it’s fancy name is the
‘pre-frontal cortex’.
This area of the brain
is in charge of more
complex thinking skills
The areas nearer the back of our brain develop first.
These areas are in charge of skills such as co-ordination such as planning and
(moving your body) and vision (seeing things). decision-making.
