ASK children what THEY think the adult/s / other children might

need? (Rather than simply tell them).
Did they then really clarify / summarise everyone’s needs so it is

really clear the different needs on the table? (So, you need …. And I need …..’.
Did they ask children what expectations they might find hard and

what could go wrong?
Did they give children a chance to think of some things a) they could
5 do to manage those difficulties (self responsibility) and b) they could
ask for (self-advocacy), so it is good for everyone?
