• Do you ALWAYS follow up? (Insistent, persistent, consistent, with a bucketful of
kindness.)

• Do you REALLY listen to the child and use coaching, not telling?
• When you follow up, do you focus on helping the child plan how they can manage
better next time?

• Is it recognized that ‘Repair’ is different ? (It helps to mend relationships and teach
empathy – but it doesn’t help the child to be in a better position to do well next
