       2. Less helpful way – dopamine – breaking the rules, bullying,

       stealing, ‘getting one over’ someone in authority; obsessive

       gaming; for older people: gambling, shoplifting, buying

       addiction.





       3. Less helpful way – oxytocin  - copying / joining in unhelpful


       peer behaviour; gang behaviour; fawn stress response – doing

       whatever someone says, whether helpful or not.





       4. Less helpful way – serotonin – showing off to peers – being the

       joker in the classroom; putting someone else down; lying to make

       self seem more important; dominating and controlling others.






       5. Less helpful – endorphins – risky / dangerous behaviours –


       climbing; older people: gambling, obsessive exercise.
