How strong are your brain habits?
I explained how the things we say and do can Do you hide and freeze? Do you avoid? Do you run?
become strong brain habits.
Let’s say, whenever Ali doesn’t feel she counts, she Do you avoid? Do you run?

avoids talking about it. She doesn’t tell anyne how scared! I’m

things are for her.
Instead of dealing with the prickle and telling

from the unpleasant feeling or tells people she is fine.
If she keeps doing this, the brain pathways for
avoiding difficulty become stronger.
It becomes a strong brain habit. Just like the more
threads holding a button on to a coat, the stronger the
button stays on. Good and bad habits can become strong.
The good news is that we can change those habits. It just takes lots of
time, effort practice. We will look at that more next time.
