High expectations & High Support




         Positioning ourselves for rather than against the child:



































        If we position ourselves on the side of the child, as ‘supporter with

                                    high expectations’, we build relationships.




         If we position ourselves as controller and punisher, the instinct is for

          the child to respond as if in battle; we thereby create wider rifts.
