Empowering Children & Adults

So often, the focus is on adults better understanding why young people may

struggle and the best strategies for supporting them. We believe it is essential

to focus on the young person understanding their own brain too.

Children normally know when their responses are unhelpful. This isn’t big

news - they have often been told so regularly in their past. What they rarely

understand is the WHY.

By understanding their

own brain, a child is in a

better position to plan

and work on any

changes they want to

make in how they

respond to people and

situations.
