Why do some people find Control

Centre Skills harder than other people?

           1. A different Brain Map:

           People with neurominority profiles are

just wired differently – simply born this

way. Along with many strengths, they

           commonly experience difficulties in areas

           of Executive Functioning.

            2. Not enough positive,

            enriching experiences:

Some children have just not received

the level of experiences and social

            interactions needed to build strong

            brain circuitry.

            3. A lack of positive early

            attachments:

            Strong, positive early attachments help

to build brain circuitry. Some children

            experience poor early attachment which

stops their brain from building so well.

            4. Bad (Adverse Childhood)

            Experiences & trauma,

Some children are suffering from toxic

stress. Under stress, the brain shuts off

areas of the brain responsible for these

            important Executive Function Skills.
