Our Three Brain Needs
▪ This is just a model to help children understand their needs (our brain DEFINITELY isn’t divided into
3 parts!)
▪ Having different groups of needs gives a shared language and makes it easier to work out what
might be at the root of problems.

have for our body to feel ok -

▪ Exercise & to be painfree

to feel emotionally ok: ▪ Speed of learning
▪ Amount of information and

▪ Knowing what to expect and feeling certain our interest
▪ Knowing what is expected of us ▪ Sort and length of tasks to
