Page 8 - Course 4 Skills and Strengths Part 1 Strength Spotting
P. 8
Introduction: ‘Know your Strengths’ Cards: Why bother?
4. Thinking about our strengths means we are more likely to notice the strengths in others.
This can support good people skills and help us to make better
connections with others.
5. Thinking about different strengths can help us work out the things we want to improve at
and the person we want to be.
If we do not even think about the areas we find harder, it is unlikely we
will do much about them. Recognising different strengths can help us to
focus on what we want to improve.
6. Knowing our strengths can help us work out the right future career
Knowing our strengths gives us the information to plan ahead.
It means we can take steps towards a job that we will enjoy, feel good
at and do well in.
It can prevent us falling into jobs that are a bad fit and make us feel less capable.
