Research by Narayan etc al (2018)
and later by Bethell (2019) has
shown that a set of experiences
    known as ‘Positive & Benevolent
    Childhood Experiences’ are also
crucial for a person’s good mental
and physical health (in other words,
it isn’t enough just to focus on
    prevention of Adverse Childhood
    Experiences).
    People who had these Benevolent
    & Positive Childhood experiences
are more likely to lead healthy and
    successful lives.
It is therefore imperative that we
push all adults supporting a child to
    secure these experiences for all
    children, particularly our
    vulnerable children.
    Behaviourist approaches used in
    schools have a detrimental impact
    on these vital childhood
    experiences.
