7. The problem with traditional control approaches is that they are
transitory - just like a speed camera, they can work very well in the
short-term yet do not work so well when the control is removed.
Traditional approaches do not identify what is stopping the child
from doing well or help them to build skills.
We believe it is better to educate children to be able to do the right
thing and to want to do so.
8. The difference between The Empowerment Approach and other
therapeutic informed courses is that our approach focuses on the
child learning about their brain and being empowered to
communicate their needs well.
