Expectations should be:




       ▪      High



       ▪      Focus on skills: children learning pro-social and pro-learning behaviours –

              using teaching, rather than controlling.



       ▪      Clear – don’t assume children know what ‘great’ looks like



       ▪      Agreed together & for a good reason – then children will be invested in

              keeping to them



       It is also essential that:






       ▪      It is acknowledged that some children will find it harder to keep to these
              expectations




       ▪      Some children will need greater support to keep to expectations
