work, delivery, parking and storage arrangements in order to minimise
the impact on local residents during the construction period and
undertake work in accordance with those details.

Policy ASW 11 – Residential Development within the Built Up Area
                Boundary

Within the Built Up Area, as defined in Map 2, housing development, including
infill development and change of use or redevelopment to housing, will
generally be permitted where it complies with the policies of this Plan.

Policy ASW 12 – Residential Development outside the Built Up Area
                Boundary

Proposals for residential development outside the built up area will only be
permitted where all the following criteria are met:

                    (a) The site is a contained or infill site surrounded by existing development
                        and would not generate additional encroachment into the countryside;
                        and

                    (b) The proposal would not lead to an increased coalescence between the
Plan area and East Grinstead and Forest Row; and

                    (c) The proposal is for up to three dwellings.

Policy ASW 13 – Residential Development on Garden Land

Proposals for new dwellings on private residential gardens will be discouraged
and will only be permitted where it can be demonstrated that:

                     (a) the reduced garden sizes of the existing dwellings in combination with
the garden sizes of the new dwellings relate well to each other and to the
                         surrounding neighbourhood; and

                     (b) the character of the surrounding neighbourhood (in terms of
appearance and the massing of development and landscape value) is
                         respected.
