Thumbelina

Once upon a

time there lived a

woman who wanted

to have a child. A

witch heard her wish

and said, "Take this

seed and plant it.

Your wish will come

true."

The woman planted the seed and it

grew into a beautiful flower. When the

flower opened, there was a tiny girl in the

middle of the flower.

"My own daughter!" exclaimed the

woman. The little girl was no bigger than a

thumb. "I will call her Thumbelina," said

the woman.
