They were surprised to see a very

pretty girl sleeping in their home. Just then,

Snow White woke up.

"Eek! Who are you? I thought this

house belonged to little children. You are

little men," said Snow White. "Don't be

afraid of us. You are welcome to stay in our

house as long as you help us cook and

clean," said one of the dwarfs. Snow White

explained to them why she could not go

back home. The dwarfs warned her to be

very careful because the Queen was a

witch.

Back at the castle, the witch asked

the mirror: Mirror, Mirror, in my hand, who

is the prettiest in this land? The mirror

replied: You, my Queen, are very pretty.

But over the hill lives Snow White.
