The 10 steps to successful breastfeeding (WHO & UNICEF)

STEP 01 - A

Comply fully with the International Code of

Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes and

relevant World Health Assembly resolutions.

Formula milk must not be accepted free, but

has to be bought at market prices.

The hospital is required to follow the Code

for the Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes

of which the U.A.E. is a signatory.

Formula companies must not promote their

products within the hospital, sponsor events

or distribute free gifts.
