Adhere to the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative Policy, read it in
the Policy Manager.
After being given the information, women make an informed
choice as to how they wish to feed their baby.
It is the duty of hospital staff to support women in their choice,
whatever it may be.
If a woman chooses to feed infant formula, counseling one to
one, for safe preparation and sterilization should be provided.
Support for women should include breastfeeding clinics where
they can come for help and advice, leaflets, social media.
