Founded in 2008, Military Missions inAction (MMIA) is dedicated to assistingVeterans with disabilities, homelessVeterans and members of the ArmedForces, and their families with threemain programs: Operation BuildingHope, which provides homemodification services to ensure thatVeterans with mental and physicaldisabilities can live independently intheir home: Homes For Healing whichprovides new or gently-used furnitureand household goods to formerlyhomeless Veterans: and Fill TheFootlocker, which provides support toactive-duty service members andmilitary working dogs serving in combatzones along with North CarolinaHomeless Veterans with health andhygiene items, clothing shoes, andblankets. MMIA is a register 501 (c)3organization and a Gold GuideStarnonprofit Headquartered in Fuquay -Varina, NC with an additional location inthe Southern Pines area, which providesservices for all 100 counties in the state
