   FROM THE DIRECTOR
The Brandon Township Public Library Board, Staff, and Friends would like to wish everyone Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! We cannot believe how quickly 2019 has
come and nearly gone, but we are reminded that we were rather busy all year preparing for our renovation. It was the first since we opened in our current location in December 2000, and we hope that you are enjoying the bright, new paint colors and the beautifully-patterned new carpet.
If you haven’t been in since the makeover, please visit us this winter and enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate in a comfy chair next to the fireplace.

CURRENT RESIDENT
FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY INFORMATION
Hello Friends and Library Advocates!
I recently attended and spoke at the
Friends of Michigan Libraries (FOML)
“Talk about Friends” workshop at
the Charlevoix Public Library. By the
way, next time you visit Charlevoix, Michigan, please check out their library. The building was originally a K-8 school built in 1927 and renovated in 2005-2006. It is gorgeous!
My talk was focused on our incredible FOL team, how we’re doing things at our FOL, and the fund-raising ideas we implemented this past year. After my talk, we had an open-sharing discussion with other Michigan Library Friends groups whereby we all discussed many successful fund-raising ideas. I’m looking forward to sharing these with our FOL at our next meeting. Come join us! Please help us put some of these great ideas to work in 2020!
At the Brandon Township Friends of the Library we are volunteering our time, energy, and talents towards extending our Library’s capacity to better serve Brandon Township. We do this through gifts of money which we earn from book sales and other activities. Please join us in our efforts. We’d love your help! We’d love to hear your fundraising ideas! I invite you to become a FOL member and a Brandon Township Library advocate.
Please join us at our next meeting on Tuesday, January 21 at 6:00pm. Thank you, Tom Roberts, FOL President
