Basic oxides: They are metallic oxides, some of them dissolve in
water formingalkaline solutions. All alkalis are bases, while not
all bases are alkalis.

It depends on the position of metal in the chemical activity series:
Chemical activity series :-It’s a series in which metals are arranged in
descending order according to their chemical activity.
