1- avalanche (n)     lots of snow which falls down the side of a mountain
2-flood (n)          a large amount of water covering an area that is usually dry
                     (flood :v)
3- hurricane (n)     a storm with very strong fast winds
4- wildfire (n)      a fire that starts and spreads very quickly and cannot be
                     controlled
5- landslide (n)     when rocks and earth fall down off the side of a mountain
6- tsunami (n)       a very large wave from the sea, often caused by an
                     earthquake
7- drought (n)       a long time without enough rain
8- typhoon (n)       a tropical storm with extremely strong winds
9- tornado (n)       an extremely violent storm consisting of air that spins and
                     causes destruction
10- earthquake (n):  a shaking of a part of the Earth’s surface that often causes
                     great damage
11- volcanic         when hot materials from the Earth’s interior are thrown out
eruptions (n)        of a volcano.
