Comparative and Superlative Adverbs
Adverbs describe how an action is done.
We use comparative and superlative adverbs to describe how one
action is done in comparison with other actions.
1-Most comparative and superlative adverbs are made with more
and most.
e.g.:
Mike sings loudly.
Mike sings more loudly than Jill.
Mike sings the most loudly.
2-Adverbs that have the same form as an adjective have
comparatives and superlatives with –er and –est.
Sara runs faster than Sally.
Paul runs the fastest.
3- There are some irregular adverbs, such as (well) and (badly).
Jack dances well. He draws badly.
Jack dances better than Tim. She draws worse than him.
Jack dances the best. I draw the worst of all.
