Experiment 4
Conductors and insulators
Observation:
1. The lamp lights when the coin, key, aluminum foil or paper clip are
inserted into the circuit.
2. The lamp doesn’t light when the rubber, wood, pencil or cloth are inserted
into the circuit.
3. If you wrap an electric conductor with the electric tape “insulator” in the
circuit, the lamp won’t light as the electric current can’t flow through the
plastic
Conclusion:
1. Metals are electric conductors.
2. Other materials as rubber, wood and cloth are electric insulators.
