“When we need to eat, our
bodies give us signals”
The trip of food starts from the mouth
- The mouth consists of teeth, tongue and
a liquid called “saliva”
- At first, when the food enters our mouth
we start chewing the food using our teeth to
cut food into smaller pieces.
- Saliva “liquid inside mouth” softens the food so we
can swallow it.
- After swallowing, the food enter a tube that take
food to the stomach.
Then food enters the stomach
- Stomach is a large muscular organ.
- Inside the stomach there is a liquid
called “acidic juice”.
- Acidic juice mixes with food to break
it down and get nutrients.
After the digestion, blood carries the nutrients to all
body parts to give them energy they need.
